roc1, you need to look at table 310.13, THHN is only for use in Dry and Damp locations, I would bet that if you pulled these conductors out of these underground conduits you will find water in them

Now, this would mean you would need to use the THWN insulation of the dual listed conductors which is rated at 75deg for wet locations.

Not sure how far the pad mounted xfmr is away, but the simplest (and least confusing from a Code standpoint) thing may be to run a separate 2/0 service back to the pad, assuming it is CT'd on the spades of the transformer....that way you keep the one electric meter servicing the whole thing but you have the flexibity to turn on or off each the two breakers independant of each other..if the metering arrangement is different, this may not apply..

Thanks for reply we did run it back to the tramsformer by itself.Pierre you are right THWN is 75C I knew that just overlooked it.Thanks for bringing it to myattention.Thanks guys for all the good info.
