Picture a small town, downtown Main Street. The old Coast To Coast hardware store. Concrete/brick building, basement, main level, and upstairs. A fairly run down building. Concrete in alley, buildings butt up each side.

Planning to install service on back of building in alley. Have a long run through bsmt to hit waterline with #4. Have no clue how to deal with ground rods! Everything is concrete!

Anybody have any ideas before I cry to the inspector?!

Thanks!

That's what I'm thinking! Guess I'll have to do a locate so I choose a location that avoids gas and sewer lines!

Its a long shot, but here it is anyway...

Check out 250.52 (A)(2) thru (8)

Scroll thru the list and see if you have /can do any of those listed- if you do, then you already have your supplemental electrode- so you wouldn't have to add a rod.

If you don't, then its rotary hammer time.
