The NEC does not require the GEC to be clamped to the box. Using a 1/4" hole in the bottom of the enclosure is peachy keen. See Mike's reply linked to in my last post.

Sorry,I thought he was using a nm connector to tie the grounds together.I better start reading slower.You know how some guys use them for temporary connections on a service riser.

Yes I did , and I have also seen ,where a panel Manufacturer, I think Seimens , states the use of 1/4 K.O. is for just such purpose.
