Maybe I am overthinking this.. sewage pump should be on a dedicated line (it is 1/2 HP) with a simplex receptacle - yes? Duplex is here, but the 2nd user is a high level alarm for the system. My concern is if a pump defect trips the breaker, then the alarm would also be disconnect. Is this looking too deep into it?

Those Myers devices are available with a 9 volt battery inside to function as a backup. That installation looks typical. I can’t tell if the one pictures includes a battery.

Yes most of those alarms have battery backup. Also there is no duplex receptacle, those are two single receptacles as permitted without GFCI protection in NJ.

Our State (TN) requires the alarm to be on a separate circuit from the pump. You might check the rules governing the install.
