Re: SF Dwelling receptacle spacing...
I know it isn't our job to be interior decorators, but it helps to try to imagine how residents will use the space. I try to place receptacles where people will likely put tables. I always have 2 receptacles on at least 2 walls of any bedroom to accomodate beds, dressers, desks, and TV/stereo equiptment.
Ask the HO if possible about their use of the space. This allows your to tailor your install to satisfy code and their desires and saves you the trouble of having to cut something in after the drywall is up. Best of all, extra items can be charged for. The HO will likely be willing to pay for them because you will give them a firm price to make the additions and you are such a thoughtful contractor to be so concerned with satisfying their needs. Also, it is amazing how many things you just don't think about when going through the stress of building a home.
