Shared Grounding Electrode System with separate structure

I am always looking for a way to avoid driving ground rods!

I have a separate structure (workshop with no water) about 20 feet from the house meter/panel.

Can I run a #6 from the panel in the workshop back to the house GES thus avoiding driving two more rods?

unless the slab has a foundation there is no CEE and thus not a valid GE according to the NEC.

pound a few ground bars and be done with.

If you can meet the requirements for a CEE in the footings then you won't need ground rods.
