What method NFPA or IEEE just curious on others opinions.

I think this post should be entitled Arc Flash Calc methods, rather than Short Circuit Method.
Short circuit calcs are done to either ANSI or IEC standards. Arc Flash calcs are done to either NFPA70E or IEEE 1584.
I think the ANSI Fault calcs are more conservative than the IEC calcs.
And I think the IEEE584 arc flash calcs are based on emperical testing, so I think they're a better choice for Arc Flash.

Got the translation.

IEEE 1584 by computer
NFPA 70E when by hand

I don't know what an IEC or ANSI method is for SSC analysis. I can't believe the holes in my education. I tend to use IEEE 242 Protection and Coordination
