Should a VFD Be Derated for "Low Speed" Motors?

as I said, only his specific drive mfgr can answer this question if their specific drive can output fla of motor at 12hz rather than more typical 60hz output. NO two ways around it.

And, as I said, if the drive is rated for the at least the motor current (why do you guys call it amperage?), then operation at 12Hzshould be fine.
After all, what purpose would a variable frequency serve if you couldn't operate it at various frequencies?

As you noted yourself in post #2:
that said, none of the drive mfgrs I work with need any derating of the DRIVE down to 0hz output at rated current.

And here in post #5:
your 100 some "low speed" is not very low speed anyway

Can you understand that a volte face might come to mind?
