Re: Shower Lite

Yes, but it doesn't necessarily need to be listed for wet locations to be in the shower area.

Why not?
I don't know that all fixtures listed for wet locations can be used within dwellings.

Re: Shower Lite

George,

I was thinking of the 'wall pak' type or the pole light type,

But if the make a 400w hid recessed can with a glass type trim in a 'wet location' listing, then I would be wrong.

Re: Shower Lite

Why can't you install a wallpack in a bathroom?

I can think of several reasons it would be foolish, but not a one for it being illegal. ;)

Re: Shower Lite

Scott, I don't know either, but I can find nothing to suggest that a fixture that is suitable for wet locations can't be used inside a dwelling.

Thus, permitted, IMO. Am I missing something?

Edit to add: Frank, loitering in a tanning salon is still loitering. :D
