Let me start of by saying everything is working good via Profibus and all commands to the drive are working, ie Start/Stop, FWD, Reverse, the only thing that I can't get set is the Speed control, when i change the speed at the HMI it stays the same, no matter what speed i put. I see the drive when it energizes that it send out 9hz-22hz and that is it.
Motor is 460v 60HZ 1800RPM

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and the drive is a replacement and couldn't connect to the old drive, it is a direct replacement

You have to program the drive for which speed command source it needs to follow. If you have the drive set to respond to Profibus, or an external analog input, it will ignore the keypad.

Most of the time we set our HMI's to only operate the equipment when they are put in "LOCAL" at the HMI. I've never worked on that particular drive, but I think everyone is correct with it looking at the 'speed reference' coming from somewhere else... possibly even limited to the Hz range you mentioned.

Did it used to operate how you seem to want it to, or are you just trying some things out? If something else is starting and stoppiung this drive, it/that should be what is controlling the speed as well.

It used to operate as i mentioned. I can't seem to get the drive to respond to the HMI signal. It has already been addressed to the profibus node and everything.

i already have it set for profibus control and no luck. you think maybe the HMI tag word reference is not reaching the drive?
