hi,
i am providing a power to x-ray machine. i need to add a step up transformer. clinic has a step down transformer. i just want to know if i can use it as a step up. we are getting line to line 208, line to neutral 110.
machine requires 380/400/440/480vac 3 50/60hz
i am attaching the transformer specs.
if there is a way, can you please share a diagram.

thank you

i can use x1,x2,x3 and x0 neutral as primary input (208/110)
h1,h2,h3 as secondary, should i keep 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 on h1,h2,h3?
how can i get neutral on load side, or 277 line to neutral?

Electrically speaking, yes you can. The transformer doesn't care if you are connecting the low side to a power source and the high side to a load. You don't connect anything to the XO when you "reverse feed"

Those are taps to different spots on the transformer windings to adjust you voltage output.

You can't with that transformer. You would need to get a delta primary, wye secondary step up transformer, which is what I would encourage you to do. While it is possible to reverse feed a transformer it presents some problems if the load being connected needs a neutral. You also end up either needing to corner ground the delta or installing ground fault detectors to have a code compliant installation.

You would not use a connection on the X0 for the Wye primary which would be 208 volts only. Since there is no neutral the primary is not 3Ø, 4W, 208/120 it's just a 3Ø, 208 volt supply.

As Dave stated this is the wrong transformer if you need 480/277 on the secondary.
