maybe. but for me, as for most of us, as long as we know the deal going in,
nobody gets upset... i've had customers ask me if i'll hold the check a week
before depositing it. usually the answer is yes, if it's emergency work i'm doing,
and was unforeseen on their part. some people are running closer to the
bone than others, and a thousand dollar unforseen kerplunk is more than
they can handle.

and bounced checks happen. i had one customer bounce a check for less than
a thousand, and it was a commercial account. i called him, and explained
the reason for the call, and he was mortified, apologized, and made good
on it the following morning, in cash. again, no hard feelings, it was an
accident.

but if i have to spend my time chasing money i've already earned, and it's
taking half the time to collect the money as it did to do the work, i get
really annoyed.

btw- it's nice what you've done with your banner... has a nice springtime
fresh look about it.
