I have an older existing outside sign that has two 20A circuits (One circuit for each side of sign). There is a GFCI receptacle on inside of sign on each side. Customer is removing all of the old sign internal parts and is installing new Display TV's on each side of sign. Article 600.6 Exception No.2 says a disconnecting means shall not be required for cord connected signs with an attachment plug.
My question is, does this sign application fall uner this exception or does it require a disconnect.
