We have been asked to work with a sign contractor on one of our projects.Our original scope of work just called out for a one point connection.However the G.C. on the job is being asked by the owner to provide wiring beyond the one point connection,since we work for the G.C. we have been asked to provide a cost and wiring method to accomplish the job.The details we have been sent show a piece of liquid tight coming thru a al.mullion into the back of individual letters that are mounted on glass.The detail also calls out for the wiring to be class 2,the lamps for the letters are LED AXIOM AX-LE1,there is a power supply/tranx that goes with the set up.My thoughts were to replace the liquid tight with possibly SO cord,reason being the raceway or cord needs to be run thru addtional al. mullions to be out of site,looking art.400.8 cord may not be compliant?,any other wiring methods that may work?
