Can you please advise I have FIVE buildings all are fed from single (one meter) incoming utility normal service. Can I have only one ATS feeding each building not individual ATS'S. I understand we need life safety loads on separate ATS'S
I believe you meant one ATS to feed all 5 buildings. That looks OK to me.Can I have only one ATS feeding each building not individual ATS'S. I understand we need life safety loads on separate ATS'S

4000a one service, yes switchgear with overcurrent protection for each buildingWhat is the size of this service and is it switchgear with overcurrent protection for each building?

Those are not "life safety," as that phrase generally belong to medical facilities (per Article 517). They are "emergency loads," per Article 700. You can use batteries or a central inverter system, and not need the generator to serve as the emergency power source.Life safety loads will be lighting and fire alarm panel.
