Single Phase Loads

Here is another question that stemmed from the Open Delta High Leg question. I'm pretty sure that if you have 3 phase balanced loads, they are evenly spread across the phases. Example, 9kVA of 3 phase load will put 3kVA on each leg. Does it work this way for single phase loads? Meaning, if you have a 10kVA load across 2 phases of a three phase, 4 wire system, do you get 5kVA per phase of the 2 phases used? Any help will be most appreciated.

If you are only using single phase equipment, the answer to your question is yes. This system is like the standard service of 120/240 volts single phase
only with an added stinger leg. If you do not have 3 phase equipment you do not use the stinger leg.
