Strange question got asked of me today. I am bidding on a hanger that is being built on the back of a existing hanger. The back wall will be common to both buildings. Another electrical contractor told the owner a 3 phase builing could not connect or touch a single phase building. Is this correct can you give me a code refrence if it is?:confused: :confused:

The other EC is wrong. It is specifically allowed to have different systems serving buildings, see 230.2(D)

I thought that did not sound correct but wanted to have all my ducks in a row. Not to make the other guy look bad but give my customer the correct info. :grin:
