Is their a converter that would go from 480 volt single phase to 480 volt three phase at 600 amp?

Such things exist or can be custom built; a quick google search for 'rotary converter' shows standard items up to 200 KW with larger sizes available on a custom basis.

But this begs the question: why? If you need that much power for a single load, then you can probably get 3 phase delivered for far less than the cost of the phase converter. If you have lots of smaller loads, then there are probably much better choices than a large single to three phase converter.

One downside to the rotary converters... they can usually only handle about a 10% load imbalance.

Unless the OP is at the end of miles of a single phase line. In which case, you might check with the utility for load and voltage flicker if it is one big load.

Have you thought about a generator instead? Basically a rotary convertor with an engine instead of a big electric motor.

Holy dollars, Batman! That's a pretty special phase converter. Is utility 3-phase really that far out of the picture?
