If you choose to go this route please video it for us, and would you be in the lift at the time of lift off ?

Best pictures would be on trip down, not the lift but the guy in it.Thinking it might bust concrete.Gc actually asked me if perhaps another lift could pick it up .Some jobs really scare me.I was using this lift 1 foot from edge for a couple days with safety being a mickey mouse safety wire that would never hold this.Retiring soon

A fork-lift.... I put one inside a 2nd floor window with an EBFL. Too bad I could not get it off the fork-lift. The whole job ended up with scafolding.

Get out the tool set and take it apart. Then let the guy who got it stuck figure out how to put it back together.

Better yet, if it's rented, just call the company to pick it up and don't be around when they come. ;)

Shoulda used a lull and just tilt it off

Then I would be in the same situation your GC is - trying to get a scissor lift off the second floor.... Anyway from what I remember of that particular situation it came down to tearing apart the framing of the window, or building some type of ramp that may or may not have held it - so I just put it right back on the truck....

They tried it that way .Short story is it should be gone before monday morning.Basically told them find a way to get it down or no more buisness. It is a major builder and job is 5.5 million.Funny part is nobody know3s how it got up there.First super was fired few weeks ago.

I did suggest one solution, they paid the damage insurance.I was willing to drive it off edge 20 foot drop.

I doubt you could actually drive a scissors lift over a drop-off and get it to fall. You'd bottom it out first, then it would be stuck in the same spot.

They may zip along, but not fast enough to get over half-way out before scraping the bottom.

It got even funnier today. They built a fence in the factory part over weekend and not only blocked in the lift but also a high reach (cherry picker). But before 3:30 lift did come done with a lull.

Then there's these guys, installing bollards on a corner sidewalk:

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that van will fit between the bollards.

I am not so sure of that, what would be the point of the bollards if you can fit a van through them?

Around here it is not unusual to find bollards spaced just wide enough to drive small public works clean up vehicles (tractors, small sidewalk sweepers etc) through but not normal road vehicles

Of course I am not so sure it is not a set up anyway. :)

Well, if it's traveling at an angle, they're close enough to stop a vehicle, but a ruler on the photo shows that the spacing between the bottom two bollards is wider than the van's body.

The other forum says it's in London.

Actually, it says Phily, but then someone pointed out that the street signs aren't Phily-esque. Someone else said London, pic being from a year or so ago.

And to save you the three-page read, one guy did some really fancy math with porportions and ratios and says the van won't fit, or if it does, it just barely does and would take an expert forklift driver to pull it off.
