Size of equipment ground for new feeder to outbuilding

I'd like to run a 60 amp subpanel in an outbuilding 270 ft. away from the main service. My plan is to run:
4-4-4 direct burial with a #6 for equipment ground, all aluminum. Ground rod installed at the outbuilding. Keeping neutral and equipment grounds separated.
Is #6 in the feeder the right size?
