Currrent and voltage should both be RMS, both from the same side of the transformer (use 480V and 1200A). Then add any extra spare capacity that might be prudent. Steve

B bh Member Nov 7, 2005 #3 Re: SIZE TRAMSFORMERS If you want to use single phase transformers use three 333KVA single phase transformers configured delta-wye. 13.800 KV primary delta and 480/277 secondary. These three will give you 1200 amps on the secondary.
