Good Day, I think ;)

I have a 200AMP service panel in my house and we are building an addition. The 200 amp panel is only party used. The entrance cable is rated for more than 200 amps from the local power company. In the addition I am putting a 100 amp panel that is going to be fed from the 200amp panel. The new panel is 85 cable feet away. Will #2 aluminum be allowable to use as a feeder? The local town says they follow the NEC for inspections.
