Sizing a neutral

This is for exam prep. I know how to calculate neutral load. In exam when do you size neutral based on calculated load and when do you use 250.102 (c) (1).

I agree with Don. The table provides you with the minimum size that will be large enough to carry the fault current and open an OCPD. If the calculated load requires a neutral larger then the table minimum than that's the minimum size required.

Thanks it helped a lot. I passed the master calculations portion so I don’t have to take that again. I did fail the nec knowledge portion. Ran out of time and had to guess on the last 15 questions. Any tips on finding things faster in the book.
