sizing motor conductors

When Sizing motor conductors does 240.4D apply? As in 14 wire is good for 15 amps 12 wire is good for 20 amps and 10 wire is good fo 30 amps. 240.4G says part III, IV, V VI, VII apply but does not mention part II Motor conductors.
 
No, 240.4(D) does not apply to motor branch circuits. You are free to use the values listed in 310.16 without the restrictions of 240.4(D).
 
Can you give me a code reference? Because the way I read 240.4G It does not apply to motor conductors part II of 430
 
Part II of Article 430 does not contain any overcurrent protection rules, it just tells you how to size the conductors. The overcurrent protection rules are found in parts III, IV, V, and VI as referenced in 240.4(G).
