I have been asked to wire eight boat slips for a proposed addition on a commercial boat dock. I currently perform all electrical maintenance and electrical installations for this fairly large operation (aprox. 200 slips now exist).
The eight new slips will be built for large day cruiser type boats that often are equipped with a 50 amp multi-line circuit, the same system as a typical large RV. I am unsure just what calculations and reductions to use to size the distribution panel for these slips. Any suggestions? The marina is on a large fresh water lake in the Midwest, and it is controlled, regulated and inspected through the Corp of Engineers.
This is my first post, I hope I've been clear enough. Thanks, Gio
