Slack wires for strapping?

If your referring to the tale of the wire for suspended ceiling. In Tulsa you can not. In other areas I have worked allow one K clip and one only with one whip if the MC is used as a fixture whip.

Located the amendment for the area I worked in. Notice it was for 300.11 (A) (2) Tulsa has no amendment and goes by 300.11 2014 NEC

I think the OP is talking about safety wires to troughers and if that is the case there should be nothing wrong with strapping the fixture whip to it

Gezz it's been a while since I had to deal with that in the ceiling, last I remember
it wasn't allowed but spec'd to be supported independent from top to bottom in ceiling
with like ceiling tie wire painted or tagged/flagged.

I did some reading on the term slack wire.
Again, thank you.

One interesting find which I will talk with our AHJ about is the fact our independent support for raceway ( daisy chained fixtures using MC) are required not to be fastened to the grid which is a violation per NEC. In that case I would be able to use the Slack Wire for means of support for the fixture whip in the city of Tulsa.
I will get three interpretation on this. I could not find anything in there amendments addressing this.

As long as it is a wire dedicated for electrical fixtures. If you use wires that solely suspend the ceiling structure, that could be a problem
