Slash and Straight breakers

Why to use slash bkrs if straight ones can be used without restrictions in the same circuit....or not?

Take a look at 240.85
Slash rated breaker are normally less expensive than non-slash rated but they can not be used when the voltage exceeds the slash rating such as on a un-grounded or high-leg delta system.
