That's what the tower guys use to drive sectional rods. I have to wonder if they don't end up bent like a pretzel undergound.

Or, spot a rod poking up 25' away and exclaiming: "Hey! Someone in China's driving one of these too!"

I use this tool, from my local POCO, to get down about 3' then I take this apart and use the top to drive the ground rod down further then I usually use a sledge hammer for the rest. Now that I have the Sluggo-Ox I hope I can get the remainder in faster with harder blows of the sledge.

Looks like an ice pick.

 ........That is funny and my thoughts as well by lookin at the pic or could be a colonoscopy instrument....ouch!

Last time I saw something like that is when I had my pre-frontal lobotomy....

No, I've never used a wrinkled up old woman with a bad dye-job to install ground rods.

Don't be fooled the two black eyes are not from the tool kicking back, They are because see wasn't listening to her boy friend the first two times he was explaining how to operate the tool.
And the little league team is wondering what the heck that metal rod is poking out of the ground in left field ?

Thats one thing my doctor recommended on my last visit....but I prefer the simple lobotomy.....I think it was lower....oh hell I can't remember, just stick a scope up me...Doc ...that was the last thing I can remember. I just hope they did not use a "Groundhawg" to git er' there.

Of course, all this was preceded by electroshock therapy!

The orange part of this tool is rubber, insulated you know. The "rod" portion of this tool is about 5/8" in size. Lets see if this helps.

I take it the yellow-handled thingymabob is a 3-to-5 pound sledge?

Just reposting in case anybody missed this piece of comedy genius. Well done!!

I custom made mine and filled the end caps with metal so it will not crush the gound rod ends..then i can drive it like a fench post and use a hamer at the end..I dont own the drive for the sds chuck and it only comes manufactured for the larger chuck..I dont own the monster driver like ken does..
