For anyone interested, it looks like the shelly1 wifi relay stores the schedule on the device. You can do all your setup through the app and the timer schedule will continue to run if it loses wifi connection as long as it doesn't also lose power (losing the time within the unit). I have multiple commercial customers that are frustrated with the fact that they can control their T-stat or doorbell at their house for $200-250 each, but can't control the timeclock for the parking lot at their building without putting in a full building automation system (BAS).
