I have 4 smoke detectors interconnected in a single family dewelling and every so often one or two of them gives off 4 short beeps, and we have changed the battery's. Does anyone have an idera of what is wrong.

Are these firex brand smoke detectors?
I know that firex had a recall on smoke detectors that had a problem similar to what you are describing.

Ronnie, there should be a mention of signals in the instructions. Contact the manufacturer if not.
