I have learned more on this forum in the last year then I have in the last 10 years doing continuing ed.

And how many hours have you spent here in a year compared to time in classrooms over those 10 years ? (4400 + posts) ;)

I think I have learned more here than I have in the CE classes (not required) That I take each year, but I spend more time on the forum than in a classroom, and we get to spend time debateing things that we wouldn't have time to do in a classroom. Also, we are here because we want to be.

Gee I feel pretty lucky. My CE courses have been very good. Informative and presented by knowledgeable people who are good at what they do. I've been to silly seminars that tried to put me to sleep. Usually those were put on by suppliers or manufacturers. But I come away with more understanding of the code with each real course I take. The three day $1200 NEC course put on by the University of Wisconsin is very good. Our tech school courses are much cheaper but still very good.

I am moving some commentary that is a bit too close to being personal attacks for my taste. The interested parties can continue via PM if they feel so inclined.

I was just wondering if there could have been a better way to handle the sleeping instructor then posting his picture here a year after the fact.

Never had anything but pleasant training from American Trainco,Crane Institude,70E solutions,Ect. Of course, I like to meet my competion in person.

Glad to hear that Bob! Will I see you again soon?

For those interested in becoming an Instructor for American Trainco, send me your resume, so that I can help you with the process. I have hired many instructors throughout the years for NTT and American Trainco.

If an instructor comes to a class to audit it, it would not be uncommon for me to say: "OK let's see what you can do - cold, any person who has been instructing the NEC for not less that 3 cycles would have no problem, and when the situation arises when I cannot make the job site, I would feel comfortable sending some of those here who also have a Passion for electrical safety.

Let me help you if you want to become and instructor!
