Went to a friends house and he wanted to move a few plugs up above a desk he had built in. So sure no problem I will do it for you! Than I pulled the outlet out of the wall and this is what I found........

It absolutely amazes me what some people will do and how dangerous some of it really is to themselves and others.

What did his TV picture look like??? I can imagine the sound had a 60 cycle hum!!

A fireman next door asked me about looking at a problem he had? I found he had run fixture cord in his concrete slab(directly in the cement) to each of his receptacles! His problem was not related to his installation -- but that was a new one for me!!!

What do you mean by "the same way"? Either one type of wire or the other, or both types in every run?

Added: Was this a DIY addition or porch enclosure?

Wow. I guess he didn't know that you can't connect COAX and thermostat wire to the same termination point. They must be seperated by at least 1"

Most likely #18 T-stat wire.
