I inherited a job that was prepped for solar but they did one thing I'm not sure about. Solar panels are located on an outbuilding that has a sub panel - the MSP and solar equipment is all located on the main building. For some reason they chose to route the solar (AC) conduit to the sub panel and then another conduit for solar exits through the bottom interior of the sub panel essentially just using the subpanel as a j box. Redoing this is a bit of a nightmare -the conduit exiting the sub panel is in concrete and then exits under a slab to a trench. Is it acceptable to just route the solar circuit through the sub panel? Wire will be straight through. No splices etc and of course properly identified.
