Here's a few cell phone pics from jobs i've done lately.

This first one comes from our new store, and my question is; what is that white box on the left? Is it some type of surge protection? I don't have a key to it, and can only see some type of PCB looking through the vents on the side. This used to be a cingular store. Its 1600 sq. ft. and had over 40 cat5 drops running back here. they stripped all the phone equipment, even the wallplates, when they left.

In this one, I added that 2-pole 20A on the top right. You can see I had terminated the grounding conductor, then realized something wasn't quite right and took it back off. In this county, you have to buy a permit, but they have no inspectors. You would think a county of 50k residents could afford an inspector.

This was a first for me: A 200A 1ph CT service on an 1800 sq. ft. house. Only one like this in the neighborhood that I could find. There was a sauna built on to the house, and one of the conduits leaving that trough goes into the crawlspace underneath it. I assume there was a panel under there because I could only find the one 200A inside the house.

In this one, I added that 1-pole 20A cb on the far right. We've got a couple of violations here. Same job with no inspectors.

the white box in the first pic holds T1 smartjacks which terminate the loop from the phone company and give you a T1 port. They contain active electronics for diagnostics which are loop powered

oh okay. i've never seen one of those. we definitely don't have a T1. You can see the DSL filter they installed for us just below the 66 block.

Well - they did at some point, however I wouldnt go yanking it off the wall - the Telco still owns it.

Anyway - so ah whats with the non-re-identified whites, varied phasing, breaker cocktail and the double lugging nastiness in pic's 2-3?

So you took it back off - and put it where? From the comfort of the comfy chair, it looks to be a main panel, due to the grounding screw for the MJB in the buss-werk in the middle. Or are you saying its a sub-panel someone didn't put a ground bar in?

i'm not yanking anything off the wall. i was just curious what is was.

the two conductors under one lug i did not touch .

The second one was a sub-panel; i had to add a ground bar.
The non-reidentified whites are UF cables that are feeding a well pump and an A/C unit.
none of that i installed.
