Space Heaters

In a Healthcare facility space heaters are not allowed, I am trying to find out if a code exist stating this.

I don't know of one in the NEC (co-worker stole it and I think hid it), but I would check with the governing body of your hospitals. I know of a few different ones in CA who state this and it is their own requirement.

NFPA 99, Standard for Health Care Facilities, 5.3.3.3.6.7 prohibits their use in a healthcare setting.

5.3.3.3.6.7 Heating (where required) shall be by steam, hot
water, or other indirect means.
