Space Shuttle

One of my hobbies is researching the early space program. Today, there's lots of books that are being written about the are by those who were there. Apparently writing a book was on their bucket list.

I am fortunate to have in my library four books, each signed by a well-known space pioneer..... Alan Shepard, John Glenn, Deke Slayton and 'Buzz' Aldrin.

I loved it this week when they noticed a piece of metal fell off the shuttle and they determined it was a brake spring.
They said oh dont worry we didnt reall need it anyway.
Now coming in for a landing at mach 20 I would want my brakes to work.
btw at what point of the launch does the nec no longer apply to the shuttles wiring??
 
If you dont have power point you can download a free version of powerpoint viewer just google powerpoint viewer and you can open pps files for free.

I don't think that they require that the thing be "grounded"!!:D
 
My dad worked at Marshall Space Flight Center from the day it opened until he retired in 1986. I grew up with the space program. Marshall is in charge of all propulsion systems for NASA and I have worked on almost all of the test stands and facilities there. I am still amazed at what all those men and women accomplished.
