special holesaw....

anyone ever use one of those holesaws that are used to cut through the soffit and the roof in one shot....it's about 2 feet long and its got an extra deep holesaw...the bottom is a guide and is stationary....know where i can get one?....ive searched it but can't find it

yes - one of the few tools my contractor actually has - if your near new orleans i think beerman can get em - cant seem to find em on the internet

I have one and its called a roof jack, mine was made by a old electrician,I use it for over head services. Mine has a hole saw for 2'' rigid and a peice of pipe that same diameter, keeps the hole saw in a straight line as you go through the roof

Our shop owns one and it works VERY well, hole is perfectly straight every time. I have no idea where it came from but it does appear to be 40-something, just like me.

480sparky, thats it, except it has a changeable saw....how the hell did you make that?

Took a 20" peice of 2? IMC, and matched a hole saw to the OD. Welded the hole saw to it, with a hole on the side to access the pilot bit set screw. Weled a flat plate on the other end with a peice of 1/2" hex key.

Makes doin' risers a whole lot faster!
