Special Plugs for new garage?

I just completed a 32x40 garage aka "barn" and am about to have power brought to it. I know that all receptacles must be GFI protected, but does this include the 2 gang outlet on the ceiling for the LED strips and garage door opener? And if I want to plug the LED strips, which can be daisy chained, must I use a special "plug" that is designed for an outdoor, unheated garage?? I have a contractor coming to bring power to the barn, but I am trying to cut costs and buying some of the outlets, covers, switches etc.
