A customer of mine I'm working with has this "Picasso" in the basement next to the Service panel. It is in his long term remodel plan to clean up this and other issues.

Except for a little too much stripping here and there, this is also finger safe.

Those are the "standard" way splices are made in Germany in branch circuits. When I came back from Germany I brought a bunch of them, still have a few.
