The following is from the Burndy Catalog.

Type KS-3 accommodates 3 maximum size conductors.

I don't know if other brands also have split bolts listed for 3 conductors. I am not aware of any listed for more than 3.

Is that some kind of PED block? Those things start out at about $25 here, split bolts are like $2...

That $2 will cost more that $25 when you finish taping and screwing around with it

I did check the catalogs as well and came up with the same answer what you came up that only split bolt that did listed for 3 conductors the rest of the listing only stated for 2 conductors only.

Both 110.3(B) and 110.14 require us to use wire connectors in the way they are listed.

No one has been able to show that any split bolt is listed for more then two conductors.

They always list one run and one tap conductor on them.

I think I'm gonna buy some listed for 3 and just stick an extra piece of wire in there to mess with this inspector I know lol
