Sqare D powerlink

Lowe's is still using Powerlink in it's stores. I think it is getting more popular. Cutler Hammer also has a line of breakers just like Powerlink and I see them being installed in Wal-marts.

Square D had a lot of problems with them when they first came out with them in the 80's, drive motors would fail, ect. CH uses solenoids, hence the name "SOB's". Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Sams, Dicks Sporting Goods and others are using them in pre-fab gears. Kind of a pain to troubleshoot, as they are computer controlled. If the computer control fails, all of the breakers fail in their present position, whether it be off or on. Square D has a small tab on the side of the breaker that with a small screwdriver is pushed and released to override, CH breakers require the controller power switch at the bottom of the panel to be turned off, then turn off then back on the breakers to be overriden on.

Big time pain.

Particularly if the people controlling the programing are not helpful.
You can use a laptop with a serial connection to see whats going on with the breaker, but most laptops now do not have serial connections, and you have to use an USB adapter, no special program needed,(DOS) but all you can do is look at the breaker positions and what the program is calling for. You cannot toggle the breaker though. CH seems to have a problem with the connecting rails going bad.
