I recall one of my projects where the motor supplier screwed right royally. A major supplier at that. Their motors were random wound and failed within weeks. In fairness, they realised the problem and corrected it to form wound. Bit a rather expensive mistake, not they would likely make that mistake. The motors in question were 760 kW and four of them. Big bucks. That was around 1992 I think. A learning curve you might say.............
