the state of texas is implementing state licenses for electricians. we have had city licenses. this looks like just another way for someone else to get money out of me. state won't do any inspections. will rely on locals to do that for them. will y'all please tell me how this all works out in your state? i'm afraid we will still have to pay cities for licensing to work in their jurisdicitons. i feel they will just call licensing something else.

Re: state of texas license

In Colorado we have a statewide license. In areas without local or regional building departments that do their own inspections, the state does them. In the areas where other entities do the inspecting you are required to regester to prove insurance and workers comp, but this a free registration.

I think it works well

They had state license in OK, and would not recognize any other state lic, not even for work pass.
