Has to pass the same crush resistance test as GRS.

What are the standards? If the standards are raised will one pass and the other one may not? Also define crush resistance. Impact resistance and crush resistance are likely different animals.

The wall thickness is likely the same otherwise we would have another table in ch 9 for aluminum rigid metal conduit.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Standard for Electrical Rigid Metal Conduit ? Aluminum Bronze & Stainless Steel, UL 6A.

Al dimensions for 1": 1.315"OD, 1.049"ID
Steel dimensions for 1": 1.315"OD, 1.063"

So they are not the same.

Al will also offer a lower impedance ground fault path.
