Storable Swimming Pool Grounding

I just completed the wiring for an above ground "Storable Swimming Pool". This pool is above ground with 42 inch side walls. I ran PVC underground to a location 6 feet away from the edge of the pool and installed a GFCI protected receptacle with switch that will control the pool pump. My question now regards grounding and or bonding of the pool. As I am reading it in the codebook, this pool installation is satisfied with what I have already done. I had originally intended on driving an 8 foot ground rod at the pool and at the very least come off of that and bond the pump as it has a lug right on the motor. So what are your thoughts on this? Am I done as it sits right now or is driving the rod and bonding required or preferable? Thanks.

680.31 Pumps.
A cord-connected pool filter pump shall incorporatean approved system of double insulation or itsequivalent and shall be provided with means for grounding only the internal and nonaccessible non?current-carryingmetal parts of the appliance. The means for grounding shall be an equipment groundingconductor run with the power-supply conductors in the flexiblecord that is properly terminated in a grounding-type attachmentplug having a fixed grounding contact member.Cord-connected pool filter pumps shall be providedwith a ground-fault circuit interrupter that is an integral partof the attachment plug or located in the power supply cord
within 300 mm (12 in.) of the attachment plug.

No need to drive a rod as it will be useless.

So why such a difference between the requirements for a "storable pool" and others? I find it interesting that that wall height is such as factor, meaning that if it is 42 inches or shorter then it has really simple grounding requirements, yet if you have 4 foot sidewalls then its a whole new ballgame. A pool is a pool and electricity is electricity, no? :?
