Can fire pump fed by emergency switchboard consists of main breaker with outgoing breakers ?

I really have confusion on that, IMO the reply is "yes" but needs confirmation.

there is new language in the 2020 NEC on overcurrent device selection. See 695.4 B 2
Also there is language on a disconnect in a switchboard see 695.4 B 3 that may apply

I don't have NEC 2020, please provide the conclusion.

Appreciate your feedback

695.4 B 3 (This is the illustration of handbook)

A disconnecting means supplied by one of the individual sources specified
in 695.3(A) cannot be installed in distribution equipment that supplies
other than fire pump loads. “Sufficiently remote” also cannot be
interpreted as permitting the fire pump disconnecting means to be
located in a separate switchboard section of equipment that supplies
other than fire pump loads.

I understood it as "No"

I think that the fire pump feed will have to be tapped from the emergency source ahead of any switchboard. Typically that would run to the fire pump controller, which in this case would be a combination ATS/controller (service rated).
