Strange Forum Problems?

Earlier today, I clicked on the link I have saved on my favorites to enter the Forum. The screen stated the Forum was down for maintenance. When I went back a few hours later, the old Forum came up as an archive-read only forum with no new posts past March and all my old PM's ect...

I had to go to Mike Holt's homepage and go through the link there to get here. When I click on my saved link, it takes me here:

Same thing happened to me. Had to find new forum and add to favorites and delete old link.

Hello, I just found my way out of the time warp. For the last 24 hours, March 2 was the most recent posts shown. Kept hitting refresh with no luck. Finally went to the Mike Holt home page, and hit code forum from there, everything is now fine.

But if I use the old link, its still March 2nd.

I wonder how many people are still stuck in that time warp?

I'm not; I changed the Firefox bookmarks toolbar to be the new forum link.

Maybe this was a way to weed out the deadwood

It only took me a day to figure it out!!

Does anybody know how to throw a life jacket out to those folks who are still caught in the time warp?? I, also, went through Mikes site to get going again. It was like driving blind in a fog. No idea which way to turn and fearing I would never see the light of day again!!!! I actually feared the site had been shut down. This happend to the last site I was hooked on. (that site was for hobbyists, this one is for work). I really feel sorry for those memebers who cannot find their way back. Maybe a quick e-mail to the entire membership by a moderator would help!!

In case you want to understand what happened: I didn't have a problem because I don't use a bookmark. See the "what happened?" thread--the webmaster made the old forum appear to get access to the PMs. Prior to that the old URL got redirrected to the new forum. When the webmaster changed that, your links then pointed to the old forum.

I am also glad that this was not just my computer. It did give me some concern.
Now I am back to harass all of you guys for another day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :twisted:
