Strapping flex conduit

I am presently being told by an electrician on a jobsite that my flexible conduit must be strapped 12" from termination point. I have always used 24"
from termination, every 48" after. I need to know who is correct. Also if the conduit penetrates a wall is the penetration considered an adequate substitute for a strap. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For fexible metal conduit, Article 348.30 would apply.

I would note that there are a number of exceptions that allow FMC to be unsupported or supported at varying intervals at it's termination.
