Subcode Notes for homeowner / builder

I am a home owner builder and my township is asking for some information for me to get electric permit under my name..

1. Spacing between boxes.

2. Amount of jacket in the box. What is jacket ?

3. Bonding ??

4. Wire size (I think minimum required is 14 gauge and 12 for 20 amps ??)

You should hire an electrical contractor. Asking these questions indicates the wiring is over your head.

This is the perfect example why we have electrical permits and inspections.
Kinyata, keep in mind many of the electrical contrators on this site make a very good living replacing Do It Yourselfer wiring.
I have never seen a job done by a non-electrican that was proper and safe.
And on the DIyer posts what bothers me is what else they may not of asked.
And don't rely on the salestaff at the local big box to know how to.
