Subject: Kitchen under cabinet strip lighting
When it comes To U.C. lighting I usually purchase a fixture and hardwire thru back wall and done. Now most people want the new LED strip lights. I have a kitchen that has existing upper cabinet fl fixtures so i am adding the LED UC. Getting to the point with the wiring already above the cabinets I am giong to plug in my LED drivers above cabinets, now coming down to lights is the question. I don't know if the manufacturers cable is approved to be run within walls it's only 12 volts would I just run the cable/wire inside cabinets with small staples in the corner not really exprosed to physical damage or should i go thru the trouble of sleeving it in wall with smurf, or 14-2 romex in wall and then connect to fixtures and driver with butt splices.
